Stuart manages the Regenerative Communities Network at the Capital Institute where he strives to identify and support regenerative community hubs around the world that are ready to activate regenerative economies grounded in culture and place. His work has consistently woven together science, design, community, and regenerative economics, creating innovative projects with significant impact. He is catalytic and collaborative, creating new value for project teams through his integrative approach. He co-founded Autopoiesis LLC as General Partner and led client engagements with a wide range of financial institutions, municipalities, state and federal agencies, tribes, non-profits, utilities, companies, and religious orders. As Chief Scientist at Smart Cities Council, he developed knowledge frameworks and tools supporting the integration of smart technologies with urban sustainability and resilience.
